"I LIKE MY GYUL NATURAL!" We tend to hear that from a lot of guys here, but have you ever taken time to take a good look at the guys that make these statements? Most of them could do with some makeup deh damn self. lol
My model here is beautiful naturally, no doubt about that. But, with a little makeup she can enhance and amplify her beauty. :-)
LET'S ACKNOWLEDGE OUR FLAWS
IF THE ANSWER IS YES TO AT LEAST TWO OF THE FLAWS LISTED BELOW, I WOULD SUGGEST YOU GET TO A MAKEUP COUNTER. GET SOME MAKEUP AND STOP FOOLING YOURSELF WITH THE "I'M A NATURAL WOMAN" LINE.
1) SPARSE EYEBROWS
2) UNEVEN SKIN TONE
3) DARK UNDER EYE CIRCLES
4) OVERLY DARK/ UNEVEN LIP COLOR
5) OILY SKIN
6) OVERLY DRIED SKIN
7) CROOKED OR BROAD NOSE BRIDGE
8) BLEMISHES
9) SPARSE EYELASHES
10) LOW SELF ESTEEM
THESE ARE JUST A FEW OF THE FLAWS MOST OF US AS WOMEN HAVE, WHY IGNORE IT? I VIEW MAKEUP LIKE THE GYM, IT'S THERE TO ENHANCE WHAT IS ALREADY THERE OR ADD WHAT IS NOT. IT ALSO MAKES US LOOK AND FEEL BETTER OF OURSELVES. SOME CHOOSE TO GO TO THE GYM AND LOOK BETTER IN CLOTHES, SOME CHOOSE TO NOT GO AND WIND LOOKING LIKE THE LOCAL TYRE SHOP HAD A MASSIVE SALE AND THEY THE WERE FIRST IN LINE...SOME ARE JUST BLESSED TO NOT HAVE FLAWS AT ALL.
I'M NOT TRYING TO FORCE ANYONE TO WEAR MAKEUP HERE, BUT WHAT I'M SAYING IS, IT'S 2012-2013, THE CAVE MAN DAYS ARE OVER AND OUR CAVE MAN THINKING "MAKEUP MAKES YOU LESS OF A REAL WOMAN" SHOULD BE OVER AS WELL. IT MAKES NO SENSE YOU SPEND A LOT OF MONEY ON A REALLY CUTE OUTFIT TO GO OUT AND YOUR FACE LOOKS AS IF YOU JUST WOKE UP.
WITH THE HELP OF A GOOD CONCEALER, YOU CAN COVER THOSE DARK CIRCLES AROUND THE EYES. THIS HELPS IN GIVING THE FACE A MORE "ALIVE/AWAKE" LOOK. FOUNDATION AND POWDER HELPS TO EVEN OUT YOUR SKIN TONE GIVING A PROFESSIONAL LOOK.
IF YOU LOOK AT THE FIRST PICTURE ABOVE, YOU WILL NOTICE THE MODEL DOES NOT HAVE MUCH OF A PRONOUNCED NOSE BRIDGE. THIS IS WHERE CONTOURING COMES IN. SHE ALSO HAS DARK LIPS, BUT THAT'S NOTHING THAT A GOOD LIP COLOR, LIP LINER OR LIPSTICK CAN'T FIX.
EYEBROWS TO ME ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT FEATURE ON THE FACE. I STRONGLY BELIEVE THAT IT SHOULD ALWAYS BE WELL KEPT AND PROPERLY SHAPED TO SUIT THE STRUCTURE OF YOUR FACE (THAT IS A WHOLE ENTIRE TOPIC OF ITS OWN).
THIS IS A BOLD LOOK THAT SHE IS MODELING. (MOSTLY FOR EVENTS AT NIGHT)
IF YOU ARE UNSURE OF HOW TO APPLY YOUR OWN MAKEUP, YOU CAN ALWAYS LOOK UP SOME TUTORIALS ON YOU TUBE BABY! YOU CAN ALSO ATTEND A MAKEUP CLASS BECAUSE IF IT'S NOT DONE CORRECTLY, YOU WILL DEFINITELY BE THE LAUGHING STOCK OF THE CROWD.

WHEN YOUR DOING IT, DO IT RIGHT!
STILL THINK YOU DON'T WANNA WEAR IT? WELL THAT IS YOUUUUUUUUU!!!

Love it! Are you gonna do a post on making the eyes pop? Most of us dark skinned women tend to have dull dreary looking eyes... How do we make them pop without over doing? Especially for a causal everyday look.
Hey Mel, I'm so happy that you liked the post, I will do a post on how to make dreary eyes pop for dark ladies in time to come, subscribe and stay tuned! :) smooches
Love this!I can testify!....... Just added foundation to my make up kit a few weeks ago, I am amazed at the difference it made. The compliments have increased significantly and My boo (who hates make up) even admitted that i look prettier. Never tried make up much before because as you said i didn't want to do it wrong and be a "laughing stock" but I followed some videos on you-tube and realized that it's do-able, I have been slowly getting the hang of it since then.
One thing I have not pick up yet is concealer, because i am now sure, how to choose the correct shade.......... Can you give any tips on choosing the right one?
Nice post.really appreciated post.
